Julio Jones Highlights
Today, sports are dominated by consumerism and celebrity culture. Athletes have become pop culture icons rather than students of the game, and fans are more interested in sports stars' personal lives than their in-game accomplishments. It’s important, however, to remember what makes sports great in the first place. In this article, we’ll rewind the clock and take a look at some of the shining athletic moments of a player who embodies what it means to leave it all on the field. That’s right! You guessed it! Sit back, relax, and savor just a few NFL highlights from seven-time Pro Bowler, two-time First-Team All-Pro, and member of the Hall of Fame All-2010s Team, Julio Jones.
Matt Ryan throws the ball high and far. Three other dudes try to prevent the pass but Jones catches it as he falls. It’s a touchdown. He gets up super fast out of excitement and starts running away from the end zone. He does the “I’ve got my eyes on you” motion with his hand.
Jones catches a quick pass from Ryan and takes off. A dude faceplants behind him because he’s too fast. He glances over his right shoulder at another guy chasing behind him. He glances again. He’s almost in the end zone. He glances one more time. Touchdown. The announcers are loving this.
Ryan fakes the handoff and throws the ball to Jones. He catches it. Jones shakes off a defender. He stiff-arms another. He reaches the endzone and rolls the football off his arm. He spots a camera and vigorously points at the ground.
Ryan launches the ball downfield. Jones catches it at the thirty with one hand and falls to the ground. The defender also falls and slides over the top of him. Jones throws the football at the ground and engages all his muscles in a flex.
Jones runs downfield to catch a ball. A defender starts to come down with it but Jones throws his body at him. The ball flies out of the defender’s hands and they both tumble to the ground. If only there was some way you could see this with your own eyes.
