Uh Oh! This Christmas Angel Showed Me What the World Would Be Like Without Me And It’s Way Better

The Christmas season–for most, a period of holiday cheer, merriment, cozy nights by the fire, and valuable time spent with friends and family. But for 33-year-old Pierce Williams, it quickly became a nightmare of Hallmarkian proportions. 

He claimed on Friday that he was visited by a Christmas angel and shown a vision of the world without his existence, a la It’s a Wonderful Life. To his dismay, the alternate timeline was “way cooler,” leading Williams to believe that humanity might be better off without him.

“I don’t mean it in a depressing way,” said Williams. “I mean it literally. If I wasn’t born, we would’ve figured out jetpack technology and flying cars by 2022. I have no idea why me being alive impacted that, but apparently it did.” Additional developments in the non-Williams timeline included hologram communication, full-body virtual reality, and Chik-Fil-A being open on Sunday.

Besides innovations in science, technology, and medicine, a world without the aspiring Fortune 500 CEO led to greater success and happiness for everyone in his personal life. “If my mom didn’t have me, she would’ve found the cure for cancer. My dad would’ve become the greatest professional basketball player of all time. The Jordan vs. Lebron debate literally would not be a thing if I was never born. I’m so confused,” Williams added.

Williams says he still does not understand why the angel showed him that vision. “They’re usually supposed to give people hope and make them feel meaningful, but my angel did the complete opposite. Super uncool.” At the time of writing, the angel has not responded for comment because we have not found a way to send mail to Heaven.
