Local Farmer to Put Down Limping Son

QUINCY, FL- A local farmer has made the tough decision to euthanize his son following a noticeable change in his son’s gait. Argyle Thompson, 56, noticed his son’s inability to put weight on his right ankle this past Sunday. Following a grueling 30-minute deliberation, Thompson decided it was best to put his 15-year-old son down.

“I think tomorrow I’ll take him out behind the shed. Can’t have a lame son; you just can’t…He’s really in a lot of pain; he’s unable to perform the tasks a boy of his age should, like running and such,” said Thompson, reflecting upon his son’s mild ankle sprain. The boy’s last days have been spent doing some of his favorite things: yardwork, looking out the window, and imagining a life where he lives in an urban area, among others. “He came up to me talking about ice and compression, he wanted ibuprofen. He’s delirious,” Thompson announced.

By the time this article is published, the boy has likely already been shot dead. Doctors theorized he would have already made a full recovery by the time of his death.
