Local Avoidant Includes “Probably” and “Right Now” in Wedding Vows
Tallahassee local avoidant Stephen Martone found himself in hot water after including the words “probably” and “right now”, among other casual terms, in his wedding vows to his now wife, Sydney Martone. While we do not have a record of the full extent of Martone’s vows, witnesses to the event recalled statements like “I think we could probably be something pretty serious at some point in time” and “Right now, I don’t necessarily think I am looking for something that serious but that could definitely change in the future and I could see something between us”.
Mrs. Martone was the first to jump to her husband's defense. She did, however, note that he doesn’t really “like” the term “husband”. “He prefers that I call him Steph, and kind of freaks out if I call him anything other than that”, Mrs. Martone commented. Mrs. Martone further noted that he has, at times, lost consciousness upon being reminded of the status of their relationship. Mrs. Martone continued to gush about how romantic it is when he tells her that he’s “really starting to think about their relationship” and what they could be, even though he “isn’t in the right headspace for anything like that at the moment”.
We were able to schedule a meeting to discuss the story with Mr. Martone. In response to our first question, he promptly stated he wasn’t in the headspace to answer questions like that, proceeding to run to his car and drive away.
